It was a proper cat-fight when Guyer challenged Fossil Ridge on Tuesday. The Wildcats were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Panthers. That three set margin sets a new team best for the Wildcats this season.

While Guyer won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-18, 25-22.

The win got Guyer back to even at 6-6. As for Fossil Ridge, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-12 record this season.

After both having extra time off, Guyer and Berkner will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Fossil Ridge, they will take on Mineral Wells at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
