The Immanuel Christian Warriors scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They walked away with a 79-72 win over King Abdullah Academy. The win was just what Immanuel Christian needed coming off of a 90-60 defeat in their prior match.
Immanuel Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Cameron Blanding led the charge by almost dropping a triple-double on 24 points, nine rebounds, and 12 assists. Those 12 assists set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Kobe Baldwin, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 15 rebounds.
The win got Immanuel Christian back to even at 4-4. As for King Abdullah Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-4.
Immanuel Christian will be home for the holidays to greet Trinity Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. King Abdullah Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Walsingham Academy at 6:30 p.m. on January 5, 2024.
