The Fairbanks Panthers will take on the Johnstown-Monroe Johnnies at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Fairbanks is returning to their home field after beating Madison Plains on theirs, despite the fact Madison Plains has dominated at home this season. The Panthers blew past the Golden Eagles 17-1 on Thursday. The Panthers have beaten the Golden Eagles the last eight times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Golden Eagles has come to flipping the script.
Macy Kise made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over seven innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with one double and one RBI.

Monday's match might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Fairbanks has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .468. However, it's not like Johnstown-Monroe struggles in that department as they've averaged .447. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Fairbanks couldn't quite get it done against Johnstown-Monroe in their previous matchup back in May of 2017 as they fell 5-0. Will the Panthers have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
