The Edgewood Warriors will head out on the road to square off against the Berkshire Badgers at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Edgewood is looking to tack on another W to their 12-game streak on the road dating back to last season.
Edgewood put the finishing touches on their seventh blowout victory of the season on Saturday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Conneaut 65-10 at home. Given Edgewood's advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 98th, while Conneaut is ranked 477th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Katie Mccollister, who scored 18 points along with eight rebounds and five assists. She has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last nine times she's played. Faith Vencill was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with six rebounds and four steals.
Meanwhile, Berkshire entered their tilt with Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Berkshire snuck past Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin with a 42-37 win on Saturday.
Edgewood's record is now 18-1. Berkshire's record now sits at 10-11.
Edgewood might still be hurting after the 45-24 defeat they got from Berkshire in their previous meeting back in January of 2022. Thankfully for Edgewood, Lydia Kastor (who scored 19 points along with four steals and two blocks) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
