The Mott Marauders will challenge the Center Line Panthers at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Center Line will face off against a team with plenty of momentum: Mott extended their winning streak to four on Friday. The Marauders put the hurt on Hazel Park with a sharp 13-1 victory.

Mott let Lucas Wypiszewski and Ryan Evangelista run wild. Wypiszewski went 3-for-4 with three runs and two RBI, while Evangelista got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and two RBI. Wypiszewski is becoming a predictor of Mott's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 6-7 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was Kevin Barden, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.
Meanwhile, after only two runs in their last game, Center Line made sure to put some runs up on the board against Sterling Heights on Wednesday. The Panthers were the clear victors by a 22-9 margin over the Stallions. The Panthers have beaten the Stallions the last six times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Stallions has come to flipping the script.
Dylan Fenger made a splash no matter where he played. He struck out eight batters over 4.2 innings while giving up just two earned (and seven unearned) runs off seven hits. Those eight strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was even better at the plate, getting on base in all five of his plate appearances with three stolen bases, five runs, and one RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Cruz Santiago, who went 3-for-4 with four runs, three RBI, and one stolen base. Those four runs gave him a new career-high. Austin Manley also deserves some recognition as he scored his first runs of the season.
Center Line kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Mott's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-7. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Center Line, their win bumped their record up to 7-10.
Mott might still be hurting after the 19-0 loss they got from Center Line when the teams last played back in April. Will the Marauders have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the match for a full breakdown of the game, commentary, and other baseball content.
