Even though the Central Cobras have not done well against the Centennial Eagles recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. Central walked away with a 68-56 win over Centennial. The high flying offensive effort was a huge turnaround for Central considering their zero-point performance the match before.
It was another big night for HARMON RANDOLPH, who scored 22 points along with seven rebounds and five steals. RANDOLPH is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season.
Central's win bumped their record up to 13-7. As for Centennial, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-7.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Central will square off against Vero Beach at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Vero Beach focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up nine on Friday. As for Centennial, they will head out on the road to face off against Palm Bay at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Palm Bay presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Centennial in Florida (Palm Bay is ranked 17th, while Centennial is ranked 125th).
