The Lakeside Rams had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against Magnolia by a score of 75-68 on Tuesday. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Lakeside was led to victory by Amelia Rogers and Mckenzie Williams. Rogers scored 23 points, while Williams scored 25 points. That makes it seven consecutive games in which Rogers has scored at least 25% of Lakeside's points. Another player making a difference was Ava Allison, who scored 12 points.
Lakeside's victory bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Magnolia, they have yet to win a match on the road this season, leaving them with a 6-3 record.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lakeside will take on White Hall at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Magnolia, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Maumelle at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Maumelle will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Arkansas Rankings (they are ranked 186th, while Magnolia is ranked 49th).
