4A Region III District 24 recap December 3, 2013
Adding to the longest winning streak in 4A Region III District 24 this week, Dawson beat Magnolia West 27-3. The victory was the fifth in a row for the Eagles.
Dawson moved up to 95 from 126 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. Eric Wells' team climbed the ranks as a result of besting Magnolia West 27-3.
Texas City's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Andrew Allen threw for 67 and 2 touchdowns and Armanti Foreman had 57 yards receiving. On the ground D'Onta Foreman chipped in 189 yards.
The Stingarees' dynamic duo of Allen and Foreman proved to be unstoppable against Brenham, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week.
Foreman was a passing and rushing force as Texas City fell to the Cubs. Foreman's favorite target this week was Foreman, who caught 4 passes for 57 yards.
Ball's Jacob Simon and Kevin Batiste have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Simon has thrown for 1,692 yards this season, while Batiste has 34 catches for 852 yards. Foreman from Leland Surovik's team leads the league in rushing with 2,102 yards.
The Eagles took down Shawn Bell's team 27-3 last week, the largest margin of any game.
