Harlan has gone 8-2 against Lynn Camp recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Green Dragons will welcome the Wildcats at 6:00 p.m.
Harlan fell victim to South Laurel and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They lost 8-0 to the Cardinals. The Green Dragons haven't had much luck with the Cardinals recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.
The home team had won the previous three meetings between Lynn Camp and Buckhorn, and Lynn Camp kept the tradition alive. Lynn Camp put the hurt on Buckhorn with a sharp 13-5 win on Saturday. With that victory, Lynn Camp brought their scoring average up to 6.2 runs per game.
Jeremiah Dixon and Ethan Curry made a big impact no matter where they played. Throwing, Dixon pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Meanwhile, Curry tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Lynn Camp is 4-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 3-12 otherwise. At bat, Dixon earned two runs and two stolen bases, while Curry went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and one run. Those three hits gave Curry a new career-high.
In other batting news, Lynn Camp got a massive performance out of Dj Wren, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Wren is becoming a predictor of Lynn Camp's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 4-2 (and 3-11 when he doesn't). Darren Campbell was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.
Lynn Camp was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .462. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Lynn Camp has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-13 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.4 runs over those games. As for Harlan, their loss dropped their record down to 12-10.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Harlan has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Lynn Camp struggles in that department as they've been averaging 6.2 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Everything went Harlan's way against Lynn Camp when the teams last played back in April of 2024, as Harlan made off with an 18-4 victory. Do the Green Dragons have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Wildcats turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
