Even though the East Orange Campus Jaguars scored an imposing 61 points on Saturday, the Seton Hall Prep Pirates still came out on top. Seton Hall Prep managed a 67-61 win over the Jaguars. The victory was all the more spectacular given Seton Hall Prep's disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 128th, while the Jaguars are ranked 21st).
Seton Hall Prep's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Gino Romano, who scored 18 points. Dylan Guzzardo was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with five rebounds and two steals.
The victory makes it two in a row for Seton Hall Prep and bumps their season record up to 8-10. As for East Orange Campus, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 15-5 record this season.
Seton Hall Prep will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against the Lions at 7:00 p.m. on February 6th. As for East Orange Campus, they will be playing at home against the Lancers at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
