Even though the Hephzibah Rebels scored an imposing 56 points on Thursday, the Harlem Bulldogs still came out on top. Harlem secured a 62-56 W over Hephzibah. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Harlem.
Harlem's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Lemar Edmond led the charge by scoring 21 points along with five rebounds and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Edmond has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Kee Williams, who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
When it comes to explaining why Hephzibah lost, one person who can't be blamed is Nate Cogle. Despite the final result, he scored 13 points along with five rebounds. Telly Johnson was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Harlem's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 12-10. As for Hephzibah, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-12.
Harlem does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Hephzibah, they will head out on the road to challenge Salem at 8:30 p.m. on Monday. Hephzibah is coming into the matchup with six straight losses on the road, meaning Salem will have to defend against a squad hungry for a win.
