Despite the defeat, Ridge Christian Academy saw an underclassman step up: Nazir Rivera scored 25 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Rivera has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Daniel Garrido, who scored 13 points.
Winter Haven Christian's defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-15. As for Ridge Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 5-12.
Winter Haven Christian strolled past the Eagles in their previous meeting back in December of 2023 by a score of 63-45. The rematch might be a little tougher for Winter Haven Christian since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
