Goleman is 0-5 against Reagan since November of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Goleman Gators will be home for the holidays to greet the Reagan Bison at 3:30 p.m. Goleman will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive.
Goleman has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matches by 25 points or more this season. They breezed by South Miami at home to the tune of 69-3. Goleman's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Goleman's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jasmin Brown led the charge by scoring 18 points along with six steals and five rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which Brown has scored at least 25% of Goleman's points. Akayla Edwards was another key contributor, scoring 22 points.
Meanwhile, Reagan's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fifth straight loss. They lost to Edison at home by a decisive 41-22 margin.
Goleman's victory bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Reagan, their loss dropped their record down to 1-6.
Goleman ended up a good deal behind Reagan when the teams last played back in January, losing 44-29. Can Goleman avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
