Baseball Recap: Fulton's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Saturday

It was a good run, but Fulton unfortunately witnessed the end of their 22-game winning streak on Saturday. They came up short against the Cadillac Vikings, falling 8-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Pirates have suffered since June 5, 2024.

Fulton saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lincoln Beltnick, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Fulton's loss dropped their record down to 25-6. As for Cadillac, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fulton will welcome Saginaw Arts & Sciences Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Dragons have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 15.5 runs per game on average), something the Pirates will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Cadillac, they will host Alpena at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
