The Pine Ridge Thorpes are on the road again on Friday and play against the Groton Tigers at 12:30 p.m. on December 29th. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the pair will really light up the scoreboard.
Last Saturday, Pine Ridge faced Rapid City Christian in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Pine Ridge strolled past Rapid City Christian with points to spare, taking the game 80-66. 80 seems to be a good number for Pine Ridge as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.
Pine Ridge's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Jaylen Rouillard, who scored 22 points along with five rebounds, and Marvin Richard lll, who scored 27 points along with seven assists and seven rebounds. That's the first time this season that Rouillard scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kanye Hollow Horn, who scored eight points along with five blocks.
