The J.F. Webb Warriors struggled with assists on Tuesday (the Louisburg Warriors had 12 more) and sadly the final score reflected it. J.F. Webb was dealt a 64-31 defeat at the hands of the Warriors. J.F. Webb lost against the Warriors in their previous head to head back in December of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 53-41 score last time.
J.F. Webb lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Daniel Wright, who scored eight points along with six assists and five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Micah Allen, who scored nine points along with two blocks.
Louisburg found their leader in underclassman Josh Smith, who scored 23 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ronald Kearney, who scored nine points along with six rebounds.
J.F. Webb's defeat dropped their record down to 2-15. As for Louisburg, their victory bumped their record up to 10-5.
J.F. Webb will head out on the road to face off against the Vikings at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. South Granville presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Warriors in North Carolina (the Vikings are ranked 69th, while the Warriors are ranked 562nd). As for Louisburg, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Granville Central is looking to tack on another W to their six-game streak on the road.
