The Monarch Knights will square off against the Wellington Wolverines at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Monarch barely beat McArthur the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Everything went Monarch's way against McArthur on Thursday as Monarch made off with a 14-8 victory. The game marked the Knights' most dominant win of the season so far.

Juan Londono and Van Maxwell made a splash while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Londono struck out six batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and six unearned) runs off six hits. Meanwhile, Maxwell tossed two innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. That's the fewest earned runs Londono has allowed since back in April of 2024. At bat, Londono went 2-for-5 with four RBI, one run, and one double, while Maxwell scored two runs while going 1-for-4. The dominant performance also gave Londono a new career-high in hits (two).
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Anthony Mercado, who scored four runs while going 2-for-4. Those four runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Robert Brown, who scored a run while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.
Meanwhile, Wellington earned a 4-1 victory over Seminole Ridge on Thursday.
Greysn Bogdanchik spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on three hits and racked up seven Ks.
At the plate, Thomas Lograsso was excellent, going 1-for-2 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. That triple marked the first that he hit this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Trevor King, who scored two runs while going 3-for-4.
Wellington hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Seminole Ridge struck out seven times.
Wellington's win was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-2. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs over those games. As for Monarch, they moved to 3-4 with that victory, which also ended their four-game losing streak.
