After losing to the Avery County Vikings the last time they met, the Erwin Warriors decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Erwin secured a 52-46 W over Avery County on Friday. The win made it back-to-back wins for Erwin.
Despite the loss, Avery County saw an underclassman step up: Caroline Hollifield scored 18 points along with 5 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Reagan Greer, who scored 9 points along with 7 rebounds.
Erwin now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Avery County, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-3.
