Franklin County is 0-10 against Bogue Chitto since March of 2015 but things could change  on Saturday. Franklin County will square off against Bogue Chitto at 2:10  p.m. Bogue Chitto took a loss in their last  contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Franklin County, who comes in off a win.
On Thursday, Franklin County got the win against South Pike  by a conclusive  16-4. With that  victory, the Bulldogs brought their scoring average up to 6.8  runs per game.
The team  relied heavily on  Jhalayah Tillman, who  went 2-for-4 with one  home run, four  RBI,  and two  runs. That's the most  RBI  she has posted since back in April of 2024.  De'Asja Covington also deserves some recognition as  she  got her first  hit of the season.
 Tillman wasn't the only one working in the  hit department: Franklin County  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 12  hits. That's the most  hits they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Bogue Chitto was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight  loss. They were two  runs away from ending the streak, but they lost  a   2-0 heartbreaker at the hands of Loyd Star. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest  defeat the Bobcats have suffered  against the Hornets since March 18, 2021.
 Jonna Claire Roberts spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned  (and one unearned) run on five hits. That's the fewest  earned runs  she has allowed since back in February.
 At the plate, Bogue Chitto saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Abigail Holder, who  went a perfect 3-for-3 with one  stolen base. Holder has been hot recently, having  posted  at least one  stolen base the last four times she's  played.
 Franklin County now  has a winning record of 7-6-1. As for Bogue Chitto, their loss dropped their record down to 6-12.
 Franklin County suffered a grim  12-1 defeat to Bogue Chitto  in their previous matchup  back in February. Can Franklin County avenge their  defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
