The Clearfield Falcons put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past Weber 62-25 at home. That 62-25 margin sets a new team best for Clearfield this season.
Leading Clearfield to victory were Isabelle Wyaskett and Nevea Cordova. Wyaskett scored 12 points along with six steals and five rebounds, while Cordova scored 16 points along with five rebounds and five steals. That's the first time this season that Cordova scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Xiyah Yarbrough, who scored four points along with seven rebounds and six steals.
Clearfield pushed their record up to 6-0 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Weber, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-6.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Clearfield will challenge Skyline at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Skyline is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak. As for Weber, they will head out on the road to face off against Mountain Crest at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
