Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Howell). Everything went their way against the Hickman Kewpies on Friday as they made off with a 17-7 victory. Winning may never get old, but the Vikings sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.

Howell's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-1. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Hickman, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-8 record this season.

Howell wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 6-0 win against Grain Valley on the 19th. As for Hickman, they have also already played their next game, an 11-8 loss against Smith-Cotton on the 19th.
