Southern got themselves on the board against Belpre on Wednesday, but Belpre never followed suit. They blew past the Golden Eagles 12-0. The Tornadoes might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 13 contests by eight runs or more this season.

Southern pushed their record up to 14-3 with the win, which was their seventh straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Belpre, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-9 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Southern will challenge Eastern at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles will aim to continue their four-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last. As for Belpre, they will face off against Wirt County at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
