The International Community Comets lost against the Faith Christian Lions back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. International Community fell 54-42 to Faith Christian. International Community has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Several Comets players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Gavin Philips, who scored 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Paxton Boaz, who scored nine points along with three steals.
Leading Faith Christian to victory were Brandon Rivera and Ben Cox. Rivera scored 16 points along with two steals, while Cox dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten rebounds. Cox is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last three games he's played. O'neil Mason was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with six rebounds.
International Community has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost nine of their last 11 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-15 record this season. As for Faith Christian, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-9.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. International Community will take on Pathways at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Pathways will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. As for Faith Christian, they will be playing at home against Harmony at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Harmony presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Faith Christian in Florida (Harmony is ranked 90th, while Faith Christian is ranked 347th).
