Even though the Tehachapi Warriors have not done well against the Golden Valley Bulldogs recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. Tehachapi skirted past Golden Valley 52-49. For Tehachapi, this counts as revenge for the 46-41 loss Golden Valley walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2022.
Tehachapi's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Anthony Cerbantez, who scored 17 points along with five steals. Those five steals set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Devin Jackson, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 19 rebounds.
Tehachapi's win bumped their record up to 6-11. As for Golden Valley, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-10.
