St. John-Endicott/LaCrosse was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss dating back to last season. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost an 18-16 heartbreaker at the hands of the Waitsburg/Prescott Cardinals. One positive for St. John-Endicott/LaCrosse, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Warren Repp and Blake Johnson did some serious damage despite the final result: Repp scored a run and stole two bases while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances, while Johnson scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. That's the most runs Johnson has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Chase Harder, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in two of his five plate appearances.

St. John-Endicott/LaCrosse's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. Waitsburg/Prescott has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. John-Endicott/LaCrosse will challenge Tekoa-Rosalia at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Waitsburg/Prescott, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Garfield-Palouse at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
