After both having extra time off, the Millard Eagles and the Juab Wasps will dust off their jerseys to square off against one another at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Millard is coming into the match on a four-game losing streak.
Millard's tournament run continued when they took on Juan Diego Catholic last Saturday. Millard was just a bucket shy of victory and fell 46-45 to Juan Diego Catholic.

Despite the defeat, Millard had strong showings from Blakelie Davies, who went 6 of 13 en route to 19 points along with six boards and three steals, and Eliza Larsen, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 14 rebounds. The dominant performance gave Larsen a new career-high in rebounds.
Even though they lost, Millard smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive boards. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their offensive rebound total in three consecutive games.
Meanwhile, a well-balanced attack led Juab over Delta in every quarter on their way to victory last Thursday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Juab blew Delta out of the water with a 54-27 final score. The Wasps have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four contests by 20 points or more this season.
Millard better keep an eye on Hailee Hall. She was instrumental in Juab's win, dropping a double-double on 19 points and ten rebounds. Hall is on a roll when it comes to boards, as she's now pulled down nine or more in the last five games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Ashlyn Wright, who posted eight points and three steals.
Juab pushed their record up to 6-3 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.0 points per game. As for Millard, their loss dropped their record down to 3-7.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Millard has crashing the boards this season, having averaged 32.4 boards per game. However, it's not like Juab struggles in that department as they've been averaging 32.1 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Millard was taken down by Juab 66-32 in their previous meeting back in November of 2023. Will Millard have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
