Volleyball Recap: Magnolia Snags Third Win in Last Four Games

Magnolia won the last time they faced Santiago, and J. Benitez did his part to make sure it happened again. The Magnolia Sentinels walked away with a 3-1 win over the Santiago Cavaliers on Tuesday with plenty of help from Benitez, who had 11 digs and two aces. He is on a roll when it comes to digs, as he's now had 11 or more in each of the last four games he's played.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-23, 22-25, 25-17.

Magnolia is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 4-9 record this season. Santiago is on a 19-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.

Magnolia wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-0 victory against Buena Park on the 12th. As for Santiago, they will head out to challenge Savanna at 4:30 p.m. on March 18th.
