There's no place like home for the Davenport Broncos, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road on Tuesday. They breezed by Osceola at home to the tune of 49-17. With Davenport ahead 31-6 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
Among those leading the charge was Sorayah Emilien, who scored 18 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Davenport's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Destiny Kim, who scored 8 points.
Despite the loss, Osceola saw an underclassman step up: Patricia Rodriguez scored 8 points. Rodriguez scored a full 47.1% of Osceola's points, the second time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Davenport now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Osceola, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-4.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Davenport will take on Lake Buena Vista at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Osceola, they will be playing at home against Haines City at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Haines City is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling.
