Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Oak Park to victory, but perhaps none more so than Aiden Hinkle, who rushed for 52 yards and two touchdowns. Travon Pankey and his 110 yards on the ground were also a key factor in Oak Park's win.
Meanwhile, Liberty North had already won nine in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 32.2 points), and they went ahead and made it ten on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 33-10 margin over Liberty. Considering Liberty North has won nine games by more than 22 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Oak Park pushed their record up to 11-0 with that win, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 36.7 points per game. As for Liberty North, their win bumped their record up to 10-1.
Oak Park took a serious blow against Liberty North when the teams last played back in October of 2016, falling 42-6. Can Oak Park avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
