The Caravel Buccaneers will look to defend their home field on Friday against the Delaware Military Academy Seahawks at 7:00 p.m. Caravel will be coming into the game with an undefeated record on the line.
Last Friday, Caravel faced Red Lion Christian Academy in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Everything went Caravel's way against Red Lion Christian Academy as Caravel made off with a 31-6 win. The result was nothing new for Caravel, who have now won six matches by 22 points or more so far this season.
Meanwhile, Delaware Military Academy can now show off three landslide victories after their most recent match on Saturday. They claimed a resounding 42-0 win over Delcastle Technical on the road. The high flying offensive effort was a huge turnaround for Delaware Military Academy's eight-point performance the contest before.
Caravel has yet to lose a contest at home this season, leaving them with a 10-0 record. It's not like the team was facing easy opposition over that stretch either, as it included 9-3 Archmere Academy and 7-3 Archmere Academy (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 59.9% over those games). As for Delaware Military Academy, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-5.
Caravel was able to grind out a solid victory over Delaware Military Academy in their previous matchup two weeks ago, winning 16-8. Does Caravel have another victory up their sleeve, or will Delaware Military Academy turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
