Wade Hampton posted their biggest win yet this season on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Laurens with a sharp 57-34 win. Given Wade Hampton's advantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 30th, while Laurens is ranked 114th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Riverside strolled past Eastside with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 63-46. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Riverside.
Riverside got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Kyndal Haroski out in front who scored 15 points. Elly Trickett was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Wade Hampton is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. As for Riverside, their win bumped their record up to 11-7.
Wade Hampton beat Riverside 61-49 in their previous meeting back in February of 2023. Will Wade Hampton repeat their success, or does Riverside have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
