You're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter, and that's exactly how it played out for Shelton on Friday. They put the hurt on the Blue Hill Bobcats with a sharp 49-23 victory. The Bulldogs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 matchups by 23 points or more this season.

Reece Mlady and Ellie Mangers certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Mlady almost dropped a double-double on ten points and nine rebounds, while Mangers went 5 of 12 en route to 12 points. Mlady is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 14 games she's played.

Shelton's win was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 17-1. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 25.8 points per game. As for Blue Hill, the defeat snapped their winning streak at six games and leaves them with a 11-6 record.

Shelton will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Silver Lake at 6:00 p.m. on February 11th. Shelton's defense has only allowed 28.9 points per game this season, so Silver Lake's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Blue Hill, they will take on Kenesaw in a tournament on Tuesday. Kenesaw will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Blue Hill surely won't give up without a fight.
