The Dos Palos Broncos have not had quite the year their fans were hoping for to this point, but back-to-back wins may be a sign of good things to come. They managed a 51-47 win over Gustine on Wednesday. The team accrued 40 points in the first half and coasted on those for the victory.
Jacquez Jones was his usual excellent self, scoring 23 points. That makes it six consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of Dos Palos' points. The team also got some help courtesy of Robey Peacock, who scored 11 points.
Dos Palos' win bumped their record up to 2-8. As for Gustine, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season.
