Fans got a thrill when Robbie Stroub and Justin Hunter connected against Williamsburg. The connection went for 80 yards, the longest such play in 4A District 7 this season.
Highlands extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Covington Catholic, 42-6. The victory was the sixth in a row for the team.
Harrison County's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Stroub threw for 204 and 2 touchdowns and Hunter had 145 yards receiving. On the ground Brock Jenkins chipped in 62 yards. Grant Carr helped Harrison County's passing attack out by catching 4 balls for 52 yards.
He went 14-23 with 1 interception.
Hunter was the best receiver in the league this week as the Thorobreds lost to the Yellowjackets. Hunter racked up 8 receptions for 145 yards. Carr helped Harrison County's passing attack out by catching 4 balls for 52 yards.
Harrison County's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Thorobreds feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Stroub has thrown for 1,072 yards and 9 touchdowns this season, while Hunter has 22 catches for 372 yards.
A big matchup in 4A District 7 this week will be when Highlands takes on Harrison County. As it stands, Dale Mueller's team is in first, while Jim Carr's team is in fifth.
The Bluebirds took down the Colonels 42-6 last week, the largest margin of any game.
