The Rocky River Pirates were the 55-54 winner over the Fairview Warriors when they last played one another back in January of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Rocky River took a 62-46 bruising from Fairview on Tuesday. Rocky River has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Rocky River lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Julian Patti, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 14 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaden Charney, who scored nine points along with two steals.
Rocky River's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-5. As for Fairview, they pushed their record up to 9-3 with that win, which was their seventh straight on the road.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rocky River will challenge Westlake at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Westlake is coming into the game on a five-game losing streak. As for Fairview, they will head out on the road to face off against Cuyahoga Heights at 6:45 p.m. on Friday. Cuyahoga Heights has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
