The Skyview Wolverines can now show off nine landslide victories after their most recent match on Tuesday. They took their game on the road with ease, bagging a 72-25 victory over Thornton. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 42-20.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Skyview to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jada Kemm, who scored 17 points along with seven rebounds and five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Yzabella Tafoya, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds and four steals.
The victory makes it two in a row for Skyview and bumps their season record up to 12-3. As for Thornton, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-8.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Skyview will take on Aurora Central at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Aurora Central has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Thornton, Thornton and Adams City will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 25th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hopefully Adams City focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 on Tuesday.
