Hampton's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They blew past the Happy Valley Warriors 11-2. With that win, the Bulldogs brought their scoring average up to 6.2 runs per game.
Briley Davis was a major factor no matter where she played. She tossed seven innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off seven hits. Davis was also big at the plate, going a perfect 4-for-4 with two RBI and one double.
In other batting news, Malory Lamb was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one double. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Hannah Smith, who went 3-for-5 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base.
Hampton kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 17 hits. They are 8-2 when they post 11 or more hits.
Hampton's victory bumped their record up to 10-16. As for Happy Valley, they are on a 23-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-21.
