The Pawhuska Huskies's and the Dewey Bulldoggers's contest on Friday was close at halftime, but the Pawhuska Huskies turned on the heat in the second half with 27 points. Everything went Pawhuska's way against Dewey as Pawhuska made off with a 47-27 victory. Given Pawhuska's advantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 133rd, while Dewey is ranked 359th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Fallon Bowman, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and ten rebounds. She hasn't dropped below 16 points for six straight games. Another player making a difference was Maggie Green, who scored seven points along with three steals.
Pawhuska has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season. As for Dewey, their loss dropped their record down to 5-13.
Pawhuska will be playing in front of their home fans against Pawnee at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Dewey, they will head out on the road to face off against Catoosa at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
