The Hoggard Vikings have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 matches by 21 points or more this season. They were the clear victor by a 58-37 margin over Topsail. The win was nothing new for Hoggard as they're now sitting on three straight.
It was another big night for Sarah Elgart, who scored 22 points along with eight rebounds and four steals. Those 22 points set a new season-high mark for her. Tristan Shivers was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with nine assists.
Hoggard's win bumped their record up to 13-1. As for Topsail, their loss dropped their record down to 8-6.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hoggard will take on Ashley at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Ashley focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Wednesday. As for Topsail, they will be playing in front of their home fans against South Brunswick at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. South Brunswick is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses.
