Port Clinton has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will challenge the Margaretta Polar Bears at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Port Clinton will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 173rd, while Margaretta is ranked 42nd).
Port Clinton can now show off five landslide victories after their most recent matchup last Tuesday. They really took it to Rossford for the full four quarters, racking up a 55-23 victory at home. With Port Clinton ahead 39-14 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
Meanwhile, Margaretta entered their tilt with Edison with 12 consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with 13. Margaretta strolled past Edison with points to spare on Wednesday, taking the game 43-25.
Port Clinton is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. As for Margaretta, they pushed their record up to 13-1 with that victory, which was their fifth straight on the road.
Port Clinton might still be hurting after the 48-26 defeat they got from Margaretta in their previous meeting back in December of 2023. Can Port Clinton avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
