The Elm Creek Buffaloes will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Overton Eagles. Elm Creek is coming into the contest hot, having won their last eight games.
On Tuesday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Elm Creek beat Ravenna 55-51.
Elm Creek's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Quin Oberg led the charge by scoring 19 points. That makes it four consecutive games in which Oberg has scored at least a third of Elm Creek's points. Another player making a difference was Kade Sindt, who scored 11 points along with six steals and five rebounds.
Overton suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Tuesday. They were dealt a 62-19 loss at the hands of Shelton. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Overton has scored all season.
Elm Creek is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season. As for Overton, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-8.
Everything came up roses for Elm Creek against Overton in their previous matchup back in January of 2023 as the squad secured a 68-29 victory. With Elm Creek ahead 41-12 at the half, the match was all but over already.
