The Woods Cross Wildcats were the 61-49 winner over the Logan Grizzlies when they last played one another back in December of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Woods Cross fell just short of Logan by a score of 55-53. Woods Cross has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Several Wildcats players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Bryson Watson, who scored 21 points. Another player making a difference was Hunter Jackson, who scored 11 points along with 8 assists and 3 steals.
He wasn't the only one working in the assists department: Woods Cross were working as a unit and finished the game with 19 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Logan only racked up ten.
Jordan Child was on fire for Logan: he scored 24 points along with 8 rebounds and 5 assists. The match was Child's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kort Larsen, who scored 10 points.
Woods Cross' loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Logan, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-0.
Woods Cross will square off against Weber at 4:55 p.m. on Friday. As for Logan, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Pine View at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Utah (Pine View is ranked 26th, while Logan is ranked 14th).
