It was a good run, but the Havana Ducks unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Wednesday. They were beaten by PORTA/Ashland-Chandlerville Central 49-12. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Havana has scored all season.
PORTA/Ashland-Chandlerville Central's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Carson Arthalony, who scored 13 points along with six rebounds. Cassie Cox was another key contributor, scoring six points along with seven rebounds and three blocks.
Havana's defeat dropped their record down to 12-8. As for PORTA/Ashland-Chandlerville Central, they pushed their record up to 20-1 with that win, which was their third straight at home.
Havana will take on Midwest Central/Delavan at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Midwest Central/Delavan will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings (they are ranked 455th, while Havana is ranked 176th). As for PORTA/Ashland-Chandlerville Central, they will head out on the road to face off against Riverton at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
