Volleyball Recap: Orange Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Orange, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Person Rockets on Thursday. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Rockets recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

Orange had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 18-25, 27-25, 28-26, 25-20.

Orange had a senior duo take command as Addison Guentensberger had 22 digs and Gianna Negron had 11 digs. Those 22 digs set a new season-high mark for Guentensberger.

Despite the loss, Person still got an impressive performance from Alex Fuller, who had 34 digs and two aces. Fuller has been hot, having posted ten or more digs the last seven times she's played. Another player making a difference was Logan Hurdle, who had seven digs and two aces.

The victory got Orange back to even at 2-2. As for Person, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 3-2 record.

Orange has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Green Level on the 23rd. As for Person, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 3-0 win against Garner on the 23rd.
