Baseball Recap: Ten Straight Home Victories for Trinity Christian Academy

Trinity Christian Academy had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Maclay Marauders a 10-0 shutout on Tuesday. The Conquerors might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matchups by six runs or more this season.

Aiden Arnett was incredible, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. What's more, he posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in March. Another player making a difference was Chris Reali, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Trinity Christian Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .562. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Maclay only posted an OBP of .133.

Trinity Christian Academy pushed their record up to 25-4 with the win, which was their tenth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Maclay, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 16-9 record this season.

Trinity Christian Academy will face off against Episcopal School of Jacksonville at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The Eagles will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something the Conquerors surely won't give up without a fight. Maclay does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
