There's no place like home for the Dillon Wildcats, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road on Wednesday. They blew past Aynor 64-30 at home. That 64-30 margin sets a new team best for Dillon this season.
Dillon got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Zamaurious Robertson out in front who scored 13 points along with six steals. Those six steals set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Jamarion Fling, who scored eight points along with six steals.
Dillon's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-5. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.7 points per game. As for Aynor, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-12.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Dillon will square off against Red Springs at 8:00 p.m. on Saturday. Red Springs will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in their respective state's rankings (they are ranked 453rd in North Carolina, while Dillon is ranked 106th in South Carolina). As for Aynor, they will head out on the road to face off against Waccamaw at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
