It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Pawling Tigers can now relate to. They took a 32-20 hit to the loss column at the hands of Sullivan West on Friday. Pawling's loss signaled the end of their eight-game winning streak.
Leading Sullivan West to victory were Jason Rodriguez and Rally Cruz. Rodriguez picked up 37 receiving yards and two touchdowns, while Cruz rushed for 136 yards and a touchdown.
Pawling's loss dropped their record down to 8-1. As for Sullivan West, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-1.
Pawling does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Sullivan West will square off against Moravia at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Moravia's favor is that they have now posted big point totals every time they've taken the field this season.
