Elias Navarro Dazzles in Schurr Win
Elias Navarro was instrumental in extending Schurr's winning streak to seven on Friday. Navarro did his part (and then some), rushing for 167 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 8.8 yards per carry for the 'W'. He has been hot , having posted two or more rushing touchdowns the last six times he's played.
Montebello had to have seen this coming; the last time they saw Navarro it was a similar story. When Navarro last faced the Oilers back in October of 2023, he rushed for 174 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 8.3 yards per carry, and also picked up 49 receiving yards.

Medina Came Up Big in Bell Gardens' 42-0 Win
Bell Gardens picked up their sixth consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Jesse Medina. Medina was dynamite, rushing for 62 yards and three touchdowns.
Bell Gardens' victory was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-1. They and Schurr are set to duel on Friday.

Bell Gardens Wins Sixth-Straight Thanks to Daniel Tovar
Daniel Tovar was instrumental in extending Bell Gardens's winning streak to six on Friday. Mark Keppel had no answer to Tovar as he rushed for 65 yards and two touchdowns. Tovar showed off some serious burst, turning on the afterburners on one carry for 55 yards.
Unfortunately for Mark Keppel, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Tovar. Tovar rushed for 54 yards and two touchdowns the last time he and the Aztecs duked it out back in October of 2023.

A Season-Best Effort from Hadrian Segura Leads Schurr over Montebello
Hadrian Segura produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Schurr to the win on Friday. Segura picked up two sacks and made six total tackles (3.0 for loss).
On the year, Segura has averaged 6.2 total tackles per game and for the season has 5 sacks. He is looking even better than he did last year: after eight games last season, he had one sack.

Halen Tsang's Rushing Yards a New Career-High
On Friday, Alhambra had to settle for second even though Halen Tsang put up the best numbers he has all season. Tsang rushed for 85 yards and a touchdown, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process.
Alhambra is on a 12-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-9. Tsang and Alhambra will face off against Mark Keppel at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
