The Velva Aggies got the win against the Powers Lake Ranchers on Tuesday by a conclusive 3-0. That looming 3-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Aggies yet this season.

The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-18, 25-9.

Among those leading the charge was Keely Cadwell, who had 12 digs and three aces. What's more, she posted three assists, the most she's had since back in October of 2024. Braleigh Anhorn was another key player, getting five digs and two aces.

They weren't the only good server: Velva was lethal from the service line and finished the game with ten aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.

Velva's win ended a six-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 5-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Velva will welcome North Shore/Parshall/Berthold at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Powers Lake, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Parshall at 7:00 p.m. on the 23rd.
