Linn barely beat Richland the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Wildcats put the hurt on the Bears with a sharp 8-2 win on Saturday. The Wildcats not only won on Saturday, but they posted their biggest win since April 12, 2025 (when they won 10-0).

Gus Peters was excellent, going 2-for-4 with three stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in May of 2025. Carson Kempker was another key player, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with one double and one RBI.

Linn now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Richland, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Linn will venture away from home to take on Eugene at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Richland, they will challenge Cuba at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
